NENA works with hundreds of volunteers to revitalize the Lower Ninth Ward. In June alone, roughly 250 volunteers worked, through NENA, on our neighbor's front lawns and houses. Volunteers come from a wide variety of places including Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, California, Texas and Massachusetts. All the volunteer groups are happy to be working in our neighborhood, and they have expressed their appreciation at being able to contribute something to our neighborhood. We would like to thank all the volunteers who have worked hard in our neighborhood!
