NENA has partnered with local organizations and leaders on several efforts, including the successful promotion of the City’s Lot Next Door Program, which provides neighboring residents with the right of first refusal for acquiring adjacent properties; actively participating in crafting the District 8 UNOP plan; and working with a state senator on legislation that would create community commissions in neighborhoods across the city to formalize a citizen participation mechanism.
