 Community Outreach
NENA connects with and organizes Lower Ninth Ward residents to encourage and foster community participation in the revitalization of the Lower Ninth Ward. NENA conducts outreach through various methods such as block captains; canvassing; community meetings; emails; flyer distribution; public service announcements and word of mouth.
As lifelong lower 9th Ward residents we have come to appreciate it uniqueness and quiet beauty. The people of this community are what make this neighborhood great, and we are blessed to raise our families here. We are concerned about our community and the lack of attention being given in this area. The Community meetings are held so that people can engage in conversing with each other on topics that are useful for the community. Lower 9th ward NENA Community meetings are scheduled every second Saturday of the month 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Food, drinks, and door prizes are given out at every Community Meeting. So don’t be the one to miss out!
