Alliance for Affordable Energy

         Annie Williams,Volunteer/Intern Coordinator of Alliance for Affordable Energy graced the Lower Ninth Ward community with her presence once again to give a breif presentation on what Alliance for Affordable Energy is offering the community and what they are doing to make our energy bills more affordable. Bringing Immunity into the Community

Each One /Reach One Inc., Arthur Jones III presented to the Lower 9th Ward Community an informative, yet dazzling presentation about how his Organization relates to the Lower 9th Ward and how they provide the same services as NENA does.There was also an in depth conversation about how NENA could represent the neighborhood better and what we could do as a community to make it happen. Alliance for Affordable Energy & Life City 


           This month Ms. Julia Michaels and Annie Williams with Alliance for Affordable Energy and Liz Shephard with Life City gave our New Orleans residents an informative presentation on how they are striving for change in the city of New Orleans. Both organizations work well together to save New Orleans residents more money by going green in 2013. DID YOU KNOW... 

 

·         The  U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has approved NENA to be a Housing Counseling Agency.

·         You can register for disaster food stamps at NENA. One of our trained staff members will assist you.

·         Dr. King Charter School was the first school to open in the Lower Ninth Ward after Hurricane Katrina.

·         NENA Community Meetings are scheduled every second Saturday of the month.
